"Our Golden, Finn, is the absolute heart of our family. He's incredibly patient with our two young kids, always up for a game of fetch in the park, and loves our hikes in the mountains. He's undeniably a 'velcro dog' – he wants to be wherever we are, which we adore. Be prepared for shedding, especially with our dry Colorado climate, but a good brush and vacuum make it manageable. His boundless energy means daily exercise is a must, but his gentle nature and eagerness to please make him a dream to train. Best decision ever!"

"Living in an apartment in NYC, our Frenchie, Luna, is the perfect fit. She's hilarious, full of personality, and loves to snuggle on the couch. Her exercise needs are minimal – a couple of short walks a day and some indoor playtime are all she needs. She's great with strangers and other dogs in the park, though she can be a bit stubborn during training sessions, so consistency is key. We're very mindful of her breathing in hot weather, but otherwise, she's a charming and adaptable companion."

"Max, our yellow Lab, is everything we hoped for and more. He's got endless energy, making him an ideal companion for our active lifestyle – we take him paddleboarding on the lake and running on trails. He's incredibly friendly, not just with us but with everyone he meets, human or canine. Labs are incredibly smart and eager to please, which made training relatively easy. He sheds a fair bit, but his loyalty and playful spirit more than make up for it. Truly a joyful addition to our family."

"Our German Shepherd, Koda, is simply magnificent. He's highly intelligent, incredibly loyal, and has a strong protective instinct, which makes us feel very secure. He needed consistent training and early socialization, but he's blossomed into a calm and confident dog. He thrives on having a 'job,' whether it's learning new commands or accompanying me on long walks. He's a true companion, deeply bonded to our family, and while he can be a bit aloof with strangers at first, once he accepts you, you have a friend for life."

We chose a Standard Poodle, Remy, for his intelligence and hypoallergenic coat, and he has exceeded all expectations. He's incredibly smart, which means he picks up new tricks and commands astonishingly fast, but also that he needs mental stimulation to stay out of mischief! He's affectionate, loves being involved in everything we do, and is fantastic with our kids. His grooming needs are significant – regular professional grooming is a must – but the fact that he doesn't shed makes it worth it for our allergies. He’s energetic and loves his daily walks and playtime."

"Our Beagle, Daisy, is a sweetheart with a nose that leads her everywhere! She's incredibly friendly and loves to cuddle, but her hound instincts are strong – if there's a scent, she's on it! This means a securely fenced yard or leash is essential. She's great with kids and other dogs, very playful and always up for an adventure. Beagles can be quite vocal, especially when they catch a scent, but her charming personality makes it easy to forgive her baying. She brings so much joy and laughter into our home."

"Our little Shih Tzu, Muffin, is the most delightful lap dog! She's perfectly suited for our smaller home and doesn't need much space. She loves snuggling, is very playful in short bursts, and incredibly affectionate with everyone she meets. Her long, flowing coat does require daily brushing to prevent mats, and regular grooming appointments are a must, but she sheds very little, which is fantastic for my allergies. Muffin is a sweet-natured companion who brings so much joy with her charming personality."

"Apollo, our Rottweiler, is an impressive and loyal family guardian. From a young age, we focused on consistent training and extensive socialization, which is crucial for this breed. He's incredibly intelligent and eager to please, making him responsive to commands. While he looks formidable, he's a big softie with our family, incredibly affectionate, and surprisingly gentle. He needs regular exercise and mental stimulation, and he thrives on having a clear routine and a strong bond with his humans. We feel very secure with him around."

"Our miniature Dachshund, Frankie, is a feisty and incredibly entertaining little character! He's got a big personality in a small package. He loves to burrow under blankets, chase squirrels in the yard, and is fiercely loyal to his family. Training can be a bit challenging due to their independent and sometimes stubborn nature, but with patience and positive reinforcement, they learn. He's relatively low-maintenance exercise-wise but loves to explore. He's prone to back issues, so we're careful about jumping. Frankie is a constant source of laughter and cuddles!"
